Nathaniel Grayson, a widowed and penniless writer in his early 30s, lives alone in a cold attic in the East End of London. Once celebrated for his haunting poetry, he now survives by ghostwriting cheap novels under false names for a penny press. Grieving the death of his wife and child during childbirth, Nathaniel wrestles with despair and obscurity.

One evening, a mysterious bookseller leaves a package at his door: an unmarked leather-bound manuscript titled The Ink of Night—with a note that reads: “To write it is to know truth. To finish it is to be known.”

Desperate for inspiration, Nathaniel begins reading and editing the manuscript. To his shock, it’s unfinished… but brilliantly written. Even stranger, it begins to mirror his own life, referencing people and places he hasn’t yet encountered. He starts adding to it, slowly claiming it as his own.

When he publishes the first few chapters anonymously, the book becomes a literary sensation—praised for its originality, darkness, and “uncanny realism.” Critics call it divine madness. But those closest to Nathaniel begin to notice changes: he speaks in strange tones, sleepwalks, and forgets entire days.

Soon, he uncovers a chilling truth: every previous author of The Ink of Night died violently before completing it—each one believing the story was writing them. The manuscript is a vessel of obsession, pulling brilliance from the soul… and then devouring it.

As he races to finish the novel and preserve his sanity, Nathaniel is haunted by visions of his dead wife, a shadowy figure in his mirror, and a woman named Lavinia—a muse who may not be of this world, and who demands that he never stop writing.

Now, Nathaniel must choose between immortality through art… or survival through silence.

Our fragrances are hand mixed once your order is placed, so that our perfumes arrive to you as fresh as possible. Please allow shipping time to accommodate our personal attention to your new items! Perfumes can be worn 24 hours after mixing, however for best results, wait at least 2 weeks after creation for the full bouquet to shine through!

Directions:

For the body oil: apply to wrists and other pulse points. As your body heat warms up the oil, the scent will release. Oil based fragrances are heavier than sprays and wear closer to your body. Reapply as often as needed. We use light dry oils so that the oil base absorbs more quickly into your skin, leaving no oily or sticky residue.

For the spray: our sprays are alcohol based for a larger burst of fragrance upon applying. We do not use any synthetic additives in our products to increase longevity of our scents (making our products more natural for you to wear), so please reapply as needed. Please note: some people are more sensitive to alcohol based products, please test prior to normal use.

Ingredients in oils: organic jojoba oils, phthalate free fragrance and essential oils, and organic vitamin E oil. May contain isopropyl myristate.

Ingredients in sprays: denatured or grain alcohol, phthalate free fragrance and essential oils.

Warning: Spray is flammable! Do not use sprays near open flame or heat source! Do not ingest! Keep away from eyes, nose, and mouth. Keep away from children and pets. Do not apply oils to fabrics, may stain.
